One of UK greyhound racing’s most historic competitions has a new sponsor with Time Greyhound Nutrition backing the 88th renewal of the event at Newcastle Stadium in July.
First held in 1927, the Category One competition has a prize fund of £12,500 to the winner and will be open to 36 greyhounds with Heats commencing on Thursday, July 11, the semi-finals on July 18 and the Final on July 25.
The sponsorship marks a new agreement between Time Greyhound Nutrition and Arena Racing Company, who also operate neighbouring Sunderland Stadium plus Nottingham, Perry Barr and Central Park.
